"Great Phone from BlackBerry. Still way behind on the smartphone curve compares to the new smartphones in the market"
Reviewed by Matt, on July 8, 2010
I am a lifelong verizon wireless customer and wanted a smartphone that would be relative to my email and browsing needs. I bought the BB Tour right when it came out and was impressed with it. It has some of the best functions of a smartphone along with the BlackBerry OS. I am very happy with it although at times I am tempted to handle the newer smart phones like HTC and Apple iPhones. They are all great but the BB coupled with Verizon's network makes up for the lack of some of the applications available on the other smartphones. BB needs to work on the lack of memory capacity on its newer breed of smartphones or else it would cost them dearly. One of the areas the Tour fails miserably is the extent of its memory. I have a few applications installed and there have been times when I had to reboot the phone by removing the battery to get the sandbox moving along.
Pros:
Very robust OS. Excellent Email client for corporate email. The qwerty keys are still a plus.
Cons:
Limited applications
